1-Day “Amish Tour”

Step Back In Time
Experience the Culture & Faith of the
“Plain People” - the Amish and Mennonites.

In the heart of Pennsylvania there is a place where the 19th century meets the 21st century.

Visiting Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, is like visiting another country; a place where cars slow to a trot behind horse-drawn Amish buggies; a land of one-room school houses, hand-sewn quilts and farm machinery pulled by six-mule teams. By choosing to live without cars, electricity or television the Amish people embrace a lifestyle that disappeared from America generations ago. They are farmers and craftsmen who sew beautiful quilts and cook wonderful food.

Being greeted by traditional hospitality reminiscent of the early German settlers is just the beginning ... Highways and back roads in Lancaster County lead to a world alive with evidence of a simpler way of life. Be prepared to shift gears and put on the brakes.

Our 1-day tour begins with some shopping in the quaint Pennsylvania Dutch Kitchen Kettle.  Later, our Mennonite guide takes us through the peaceful countryside while explaining the beliefs and traditions of the Amish people.  We also visit the Amish House and Farm Museum.

The highlight of the day is our homemade dinner in the home of an old order Amish family.  It gives you the chance to meet and speak to these people who live such a simple life.     No diets on this trip!

Tour Price includes: Transportation; Professional Escort; Guided Tour of an Amish Home & Farm; Guided Tour of the Amish Countryside; Stops for Shopping & Lunch; "Family Style Dinner" in an Amish Family's Private Home (very special); all related tax & gratuities.

We look forward to seeing you on our next Amish Tour!
